Atria, Ericsson, Royal Unibrew: Nordic Equity Preview

The following companies may have unusual price changes in Nordic trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and share prices are from the previous close.

The Dow Jones Nordic 30 Index, a measure for the region, rose 18.14, or 0.2 percent, to 7,450.86 yesterday.

The OMX Stockholm 30 Index (OMX) climbed 0.7 percent, while the OMX Copenhagen 20 Index (KFX) rose 0.8 percent. The Helsinki 25 Index advanced 0.7 percent. Norway’s OBX Index climbed 0.8 percent.

Atria Plc (ATRAV) : The Finnish food producer said Chief Executive Officer Matti Tikkakoski will step down effective immediately and that the company has initiated a search for his successor. The share declined 0.5 percent to 8.50 euros.

Ericsson AB (ERICB SS): The world’s largest maker of wireless communication equipment will establish a testing center for so-called long-term evolution technology in Taiwan this year, the Commercial Times reported today citing Ericsson’s local general manager Philip Tseng. The share rose 3.5 percent to 81.30 kronor.

Royal Unibrew A/S (RBREW DC): The Nordic region’s second- largest brewer said it has entered into a conditional cooperation agreement with A. Enggaard A/S concerning a brewery site in Aarhus. The share advanced 1 percent to 352.50 kroner.
