The International Air Transport Association said it moved its annual general meeting to Singapore.
The AGM, which will be held on June 5-7, was originally to be held in Cairo. “We regret not being able to host this event in Egypt as originally planned,” IATA said in an e-mailed statement today.
“We look forward to hosting a future AGM in Egypt when its political transition is complete,” the statement cited Giovanni Bisignani, IATA’s Director General and CEO, as saying.
