Barclay Brothers Win Control of Maybourne Hotels, Mail Reports

David and Frederick Barclay, the brothers who own the Telegraph Media Group, have won control of Maybourne Hotels Ltd., the Mail on Sunday said, without saying where it got the information.

The siblings agreed to buy 35 percent of the company from Irish real-estate entrepreneur Derek Quinlan, increasing their stake to 60 percent, the newspaper reported.

Maybourne, owner of London’s Claridge’s, Berkeley and Connaught hotels, had drawn separate bids of 1 billion pounds ($1.6 billion) each from Qatar Holdings LLC and the Chinese government, according to the report.
