TSMC Buys NT$1.48 Billion of Equipment From Two Vendors

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co., the world’s largest contract chipmaker, bought NT$1.48 billion of equipment and facilities from two vendors, according to two separate company statements to the stock exchange today.

The company purchased NT$832 million of gear from Applied Materials South East Asia Pacific Ltd. and NT$650 million of facilities and engineering equipment from Ebara Corp., the Hsinchu, Taiwan-based company said.
