Benelux Stocks Move: Heineken and Arseus Rise, Imtech Declines

The Netherlands’ AEX-Index gained 1.43, or 0.4 percent, to 371.94 in Amsterdam, its third straight advance. Belgium’s Bel20 Index rose 0.2 percent to 2,737.07.

The following are amongst the most active stocks in Benelux markets today. Symbols are in parentheses.

Dutch Stocks:

Heineken NV (HEIA NA) rose 4.9 percent to 38.69 euros, the most since January 11. The world’s third-largest brewer reported 2010 profit that beat analysts’ estimates as it lowered costs more than anticipated amid falling sales of beer.

Imtech NV (IM NA) dropped 1.7 percent at 27.42 euros, the lowest since Feb. 11. The largest Dutch technical services company had its rating cut to “underperform” from “outperform” at Cheuvreux.

Belgian Stocks:

Arseus NV (RCUS BB) rose 1.8 percent at 11.63 euros, the most in almost a month. Europe’s biggest supplier of ingredients to compounding pharmacies said earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization rose 15 percent in 2010.
