Matahari Gains for First Time in 11 Days After Wal-Mart Report

PT Matahari Putra Prima shares rose for the first time in 11 days in Jakarta trading after Reuters reported Wal-Mart Stores Inc. is in talks to become a partner of the Indonesian retailer.

Matahari rose 1.3 percent to 1,510 rupiah as of 9:46 a.m. local time, set for the first increase since Jan. 24. Matahari isn’t aware of the talks, Danny Kojongian, a spokesman at the Indonesian company, said today.
