Ladbrokes in Merger Talks With Playtech, Telegraph Reports

Ladbrokes Plc, the U.K. bookmaker founded in 1886, is in merger talks with Playtech Ltd., an Internet gambling software developer based in the Isle of Man, the Daily Telegraph reported, without saying where it got the information.
A merger, which would be worth 2.2 billion pounds ($3.5 billion), is one of several options being discussed, the newspaper said.
The talks are running parallel to Ladbroke’s discussions on a 240 million pounds takeover of 888 Holdings Plc, the Telegraph reported.
