North Korea Asks South to Release Its Citizens, Red Cross Says

North Korea asked the South to release 31 of its citizens who crossed the two countries’ maritime border in a fishing boat on Feb. 5, South Korea’s Red Cross said in an emailed statement today.
The Red Cross is investigating the incident and will notify the North of the outcome of its probe, the statement said.
