Hunan Corun Pays 502.4 Mln Yen for Panasonic Battery Plant in Japan

Hunan Corun New Energy Co. paid 502.4 million yen ($6.1 million) for a nickel-hydride battery plant in Kanagawa Prefecture, south of Tokyo, from Panasonic Corp.

The transaction still awaits approval from China’s commerce ministry, Hunan Corun said in a statement to the Shanghai stock exchange.
