ElBaradei Seeks Transition Talks with Army Leaders, Spiegel Says

Egyptian opposition leader Mohamed ElBaradei wants to discuss a peaceful transition with military leaders soon, Der Spiegel reported, citing an interview.

“I would prefer to speak soon with army leaders,” the German magazine cited ElBaradei as saying, to “explore how we can achieve a bloodless transition.” The magazine quoted ElBaradei as saying he’d heard that Bahrain may be willing to house President Hosni Mubarak should he depart Egypt.
