Eni’s Descalzi Says Unrest in Egypt Won’t Hurt Production
Eni SpA, Italy’s biggest oil company, hasn’t experienced output disruptions in Egypt due to political unrest, Claudio Descalzi, the company’s head of exploration and production, told Sky TG24 in an interview today.
Eni continues to produce its daily average in Egypt, 230,000 barrels of oil equivalent, he told the television network. Employees are mostly locals and still coming to work as Eni facilities are far from areas of unrest, Descalzi said.
