Israeli Stocks: Exalenz Bioscience and Bank Hapoalim

Israel’s TA-25 Index gained for a second day, increasing 0.2 percent to 1,295.01 at 1:03 p.m. in Tel Aviv.

The following stocks rose or fell today. Symbols are in parentheses.

Exalenz Bioscience Ltd. (EXEN IT) lost 2.5 percent to 0.903 shekel, headed for the lowest close since July 21. The developer of breath-testing systems to diagnose and manage diseases said its looking to raise 20 million shekels ($5.4 million) in a rights offering.

Bank Hapoalim Ltd. (POLI IT) headed for the lowest close since in Nov. 1, declining 0.8 percent to 16.69 shekels. Zion Kenan, chief executive officer of Israel’s second-largest bank by market value, was questioned yesterday under caution by police regarding a loan Dani Dankner when Dankner was chairman of the lender. The bank is continuing operations as usual, it said.
