French Stocks: Alten, Renault, Technip Shares Move in Paris

France’s CAC 40 Index gained 19.22, or 0.5 percent, to 4,024.72 as of 9:55 a.m. in Paris. The broader SBF 120 Index rose 0.5 percent.

The following is a list of companies whose shares rose or fell in the French equity market today. Stock symbols are in parentheses.

Alten SA (ATE FP) surged 4.6 percent to 26.575 euros. The consulting and engineering services company said 2010 revenue rose to 916.6 million euros ($1.25 billion) from 857.1 million euros in the previous year.

Renault SA (RNO FP) dropped 1.4 percent to 47.14 euros, even after France’s second-largest carmaker reported a 16 percent jump in full-year revenue and said cash flow beat its forecast.

Technip SA (TEC FP) gained 1.5 percent to 72 euros. Europe’s second-largest oilfield services provider bought all the assets of Subocean Group Ltd. Paris-based Technip said it plans to invest 10 million pounds ($16 million) in Aberdeen, Scotland-based Subocean.

Total SA (FP FP) climbed 1.8 percent to 43.475 euros. Berenberg Bank initiated its coverage of France’s largest oil producer with a “buy” rating.
