RAB Capital’s Joshi Poached to Head BCA’s European Strategy Team

Dhaval Joshi has left his position as chief strategist at London-based hedge fund RAB Capital Plc to join BCA Research as head of its European Investment Strategy team, according to two people with knowledge of the move.

Joshi, who has also worked as a strategist at Societe Generale SA in London, will begin his new role in February, said the people, who declined to be indentified before an official announcement.

Charlotte Kirkham, a London-based external spokeswoman for RAB Capital, confirmed that Joshi has left the company. Joshi declined to comment on his reason for leaving. RAB Capital, founded by Philip Richards and Michael Alen-Buckley, had $1.05 billion of assets under management as of Dec. 31.

A phone message left with BCA Research was not returned. The firm is an independent provider of global investment research based in Montreal, according to its website.
