Morocco’s First Self-Immolation Occurs in Casablanca, MAP Says

A Moroccan man set himself on fire in the northern port city of Casablanca yesterday, state-run Maghreb Arab Press reported, without saying where it got the information.
The first case of self-immolation in the country was motivated by inheritance problems, the news agency said. The man is being treated in a hospital, MAP reported, citing a person from the medical profession.
A 41-year-old street vendor tried to set himself on fire in the city of Beni Mellal yesterday, the daily paper Assabah reported.
