West Ham `Committed' to Retaining Avram Grant as Manager of Soccer Club

West Ham United, the last place soccer club in England’s Premier League, is “committed to retaining” manager Avram Grant, the team said today on its website.

The club has “identified potential transfer targets to give us the best possible chance of retaining Premier League status,” the east London team said.

West Ham denied a report in the Daily Mirror that club vice chairman Karren Brady texted some players and asked them whether they thought Grant should be fired.
