Vietnam Reduces Import Duties for Petroleum Products Beginning on Jan. 14
Vietnam’s Ministry of Finance lowered import duties for some petroleum products from Jan. 14, the ministry said on its website.
The import tax for gasoline was cut to zero percent from 6 percent, and that on diesel was decreased to zero percent from 2 percent. This tax on kerosene was reduced to 2 percent from 6 percent, that on mazut was lowered to 2 percent from 5 percent, the statement said.
The ministry also asked sellers of petroleum products not to raise prices for now, it said in a separate statement.
