The following companies had unusual price changes in Chilean trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of 3:15 p.m. New York time.
The Ipsa index rose 0.1 percent to 4,934.25.
AFP Habitat SA (HABITAT CC) rose 4.7 percent to 659 pesos, the most in six months. Chile’s second-largest pension fund manager was initiated coverage at the brokerage unit of Banco de Credito e Inversiones with an “overweight” rating and a 2011 price estimate of 768 pesos.
Enjoy SA (ENJOY CC), a Chilean casino operator, rose 3.8 percent to 142 pesos, its sixth consecutive day of gains. Chile’s Giner family is looking to sell its casino in the Termas de Chillan hotel complex, El Mercurio wrote yesterday.
Multiexport Foods SA (MULTIFOO CC), Chile’s largest listed salmon farmer, gained 3.3 percent, its fourth day of gains, to 214 pesos. Marine Harvest ASA, the world’s largest salmon farmer, had its price estimate and earnings per share increased to 6.8 kroner and 0.7 kroner, respectively, at Pareto Securities.
SM Chile SA (SMCHILEB CC) increased 2.5 percent to 163 pesos, its third day of gains. The holding company which holds a 14.7 percent stake in Banco de Chile may prepay its subordinated debt with the central bank by 2019, El Mercurio wrote, citing a report from Larrain Vial.
