Greek Tourism Revenue Declined 9% in 2010, Naftemporiki Says

Greek tourism revenue dropped 9 percent last year, and the decline in hotel income reached 11 percent, Naftemporiki reported, citing Culture and Tourism Minister Pavlos Yeroulanos and Yiorgos Tsakiris, the president of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels.

Greece’s national tourism organization will participate in 69 international tourism exhibitions this year, with a budget 40 percent smaller than in 2009, the newspaper cited Yeroulanos as saying at a conference.
