Thailand’s TOT Pcl, a state-run telecommunication agency, said four groups will bid for its planned 17.4 billion baht ($567 million) high-speed mobile-phone network expansion.

The first group includes units of Advanced Info Service Pcl and Alcatel-Lucent SA, and the second group includes Samart Corp., Loxley Pcl, Huawei Technologies Co. and Nokia Siemens Networks. The third group is led by Ericsson AB, while the fourth group is led by ZTE Corp.

Bidding is expected to take place on Jan. 28 and an agreement will be signed in mid-February, Arnon Tubtiang, TOT’s senior executive vice president, said in Bangkok today.
