Benelux Stocks: ArcelorMittal and Nyrstar Shares Are Active
The AEX-Index declined 1.58, or 0.4 percent, to 357.28 at the 5:30 p.m. close in Amsterdam, a second day of declines. Belgium’s Bel20 Index fell 0.6 percent to 2,631.57.
The following are among the most active stocks in the Benelux markets today. Symbols are in parentheses.
ArcelorMittal (MT NA), the world’s biggest steelmaker, fell 1.4 percent to 27.80 euros, extending yesterday’s 2.7 percent decline. Nyrstar NV (NYR BB), the zinc producer seeking investor backing tomorrow for a rights offering of as much as 400 million euros ($526 million), slid 2.3 percent to 11.61 euros. Mining shares across Europe fell as copper, nickel, tin and zinc all retreated on the London Metal Exchange.
