The Merval Index fell 0.4 percent to 3,613.73.
Molinos Rio de la Plata SA (MOLI AF) rose 7.1 percent to 32.45 pesos, bringing the two-day increase for the Argentine food company and soy processor to 16 percent, the largest since September 2008. The stock advanced after being included in the Merval index of shares and as soybean prices gained on speculation that dry weather in parts of South America will reduce yields.
Petroleo Brasileiro SA (APBR AF) fell 2.1 percent to 76.50 pesos, the steepest loss in two weeks. Crude oil fell the most in seven weeks in New York as precious metals tumbled and the dollar strengthened.
