Airgas, Belo, Constellation Energy, Dick’s: U.S. Equity Preview

Shares of the following companies may have unusual moves in U.S. trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses.

Airgas Inc. (ARG US): The packaged-gases company said it bought Conley Gas Ltd., with about $9 million in annual revenue, and separately two other businesses with $5 million in annual revenue.

Annaly Capital Management Inc. (NLY US): The New York-based real estate investment trust said it plans an offering of 75 million shares.

Belo Corp. (BLC US): The Dallas-based owner of 20 television stations said it estimates a loss of as much as $23 million in the first quarter on a just-completed pension plan split.

Constellation Energy Group Inc. (CEG US): The developer and operator of electricity generating facilities completed the acquisition of Boston Generating LLC power plants for $1.1 billion, the companies said.

Corning Inc. (GLW US): The world’s biggest maker of glass for flat-panel televisions said Peter Volanakis retired as president and chief operating officer and Chief Executive Wendell Weeks will be president.

Dick’s Sporting Goods Inc. (DKS US): The Coraopolis, Pennsylvania-based chain got a “buy” rating in new coverage at Janney Montgomery Scott LLC.
