The following stocks may rise or fall in Gulf Arab markets. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are from the last close.
The Dubai Financial Market General Index 0.5 percent to 1,630.52. Qatar’s gauge advanced 0.2 percent, while Kuwait’s SE Price Index retreated 0.1 percent. Saudi Arabia’s Tadawul All Share Index gained 0.5 percent.
Saudi Advanced Industries Co. (SAIC): The Riyadh-based company that manufactures airplane parts won a $53 million contract from Syrian Air to inspect air planes and provide engine maintenance. The shares were unchanged at 13.60 riyals.
Southern Province Cement Co. (SOCCO): The Saudi cement maker’s board recommended paying a dividend of 2.5 riyals a share, or 350 million riyals ($93.3 million), for the second half of 2010. The shares rose 0.8 percent to 61.75 riyals.
