NKT to Develop Flexible CO2 Pipes, Offshore Oil and Gas Reports

NKT Holding A/S unit NKT Flexibles has started a three-year program aimed at developing flexible pipes for carbon-dioxide applications, Offshore Oil and Gas Magazine said on its website citing unnamed sources at the Brondby, Denmark-based company.

The pipes could be used in hydrocarbon production from deepwater, high-pressure reservoirs with a high CO2 content or for CO2 reinjection for enhanced oil production or carbon capture and storage, Offshore Oil and Gas reported.
