Akfen of Turkey Sells Hydro-Electric Unit to Kardemir for 10 Million Euros

Akfen Holding AS, parent company of a Turkish group active in construction, airports and ports, real estate, tourism and energy, sold a hydropower unit to steel maker Kardemir AS for 10 million euros ($13 million).

Akfen Hidroelektrik Santral Yatirimlari AS sold 100 percent shares of Enbati Elektrik which will build and operate a 22.5- megawatt hydropower plant to Kardemir, Akfen Holding said in a statement to the Istanbul Stock Exchange yesterday.
