Software May Raise Dividend by Up to 20%, Euro am Sonntag Says

Software AG is considering a plan to increase its dividend by as much as 20 percent this year from the payment it made for 2009, Euro am Sonntag reported, citing an interview with Chief Financial Officer Arnd Zinnhardt.

The company may raise the dividend by as much as the gain in profit, Zinnhardt was quoted as saying. Earnings are forecast to increase 18 percent to 20 percent in 2011, the magazine said. Last year, Software paid 1.15 euros ($1.51) a share, according to the report.
