LeBron James had 27 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists as the Miami Heat beat the Los Angeles Lakers 96-80 in Los Angeles.
James hit five three-point shots and added four steals as Miami improved to 23-9. Chris Bosh contributed 24 points and 13 rebounds while Dwyane Wade scored 18 points for the Heat, who have won 14 of their past 15 games.
Kobe Bryant scored 17 points with 6 rebounds and 7 assists as the two-time defending champion Lakers fell to 21-9.
In other National Basketball Association games, Brandon Bass scored 21 points as the Orlando Magic beat Boston 86-78, ending the Celtics’ 14-game winning streak.
Hedo Turkoglu added 16 points to help the Magic rally from a 12 point second-half deficit and improve to 18-12. Kevin Garnett led the Celtics with 22 points as Boston fell to 23-5.
In New York, Amare Stoudemire and Raymond Felton each scored 20 points to lead the New York Knicks past the Chicago Bulls 103-95.
Stoudemire added 10 rebounds and six blocked shots for the Knicks, who held the Bulls to two baskets in the first 10 minutes of the fourth quarter to improve to 18-12.
