The IGBC Index increased 0.3 percent to 15,669.17, while the Colcap Index climbed 0.4 percent to 1,853.24.

Corp. Financiera Colombiana (PFCORCOL CB), a holding company with investments in the construction industry, declined 2.8 percent to 34,120 pesos. Colombia’s economy expanded less than analysts forecast in the third quarter from a year earlier as construction activity plunged after the government scaled back economic stimulus programs.

Enka de Colombia SA (ENKA CB), a Medellin-based synthetic fibers maker, climbed 0.8 percent to 12.80 pesos. The Colombian peso’s second straight weekly decline pointed to increased export revenue for exporters.

Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores SA (AVAL CB), Colombia’s biggest financial holding company with investments in stocks, bonds and other financial instruments, climbed 3.3 percent to 1,700 pesos. Peru’s President Alan Garcia signed a bill yesterday authorizing the integration of the stock exchanges of Peru, Chile and Colombia in a bid to boost trading volume.
