Colombian Stocks: Grupo Odinsa, Canacol Energy Increase

The following companies are having unusual price changes in Bogota trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of 10:42 a.m. New York time.

The IGBC Index increased 0.2 percent to 15,411.47, while the Colcap Index added 0.2 percent to 1,827.37.

Grupo Odinsa SA (ODINSA CB), the Bogota-based engineering and construction company, gained 1.4 percent to 8,110 pesos, a record. Colombia’s industrial production increased 2.7 percent in October from a year earlier, the national statistics agency reported on Dec. 17.

Canacol Energy Ltd. (CNEC CB) surged 4.1 percent to 3,020 pesos, the biggest intraday increase since Nov. 24. The Calgary- based oil company started permanent production from the Mirador reservoir in the recently drilled Rancho Hermoso 9 well located in the Llanos Basin of Colombia, according to a press release distributed by PRNewswire.
