Dyo Boya to Boost Ink Output With New Factory, Hurriyet Reports

Dyo Boya Fabrikalari Sanayi & Ticaret AS, a Turkish paint maker, opened a new ink factory at Manisa in western Turkey that will produce 25,000 tons a year, Hurriyet newspaper said citing Idil Yigitbasi, head of the board of directors at parent Yasar Holding.

The plant will initially work at 75 percent of capacity, and will enable Dyo to increase ink exports to $5 million a year from the current $3 million within three years, Yigitbasi said, according to Hurriyet. Dyo currently has 35 percent of the $200 million Turkish market, and will achieve a 5 percent increase with the new factory, Yigitbasi said.

Yasar Holding increased sales by 15 percent to 2.5 billion liras ($1.7 billion) this year and aims for a 10 percent increase in 2011, Yigitbasi said, according to Hurriyet.
