The following companies had unusual price changes in Chilean trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of 3:07 p.m. New York time.
The Ipsa index fell 0.4 percent to 4,945.74.
Cia. Pesquera Camanchaca SA (CAMANCHA CC) fell 1.8 percent to 75.69 pesos, its fifth straight day of losses. The fishing and aquaculture company, which completed the sole initial public offering of shares this year in Chile on Dec. 1, had a loss of $17.3 million in the first nine months of the year, according to a statement posted on the website of Chile’s securities regulator.
Masisa SA (MASISA CC) increased 0.4 percent to 77.59 pesos. The wood panels and forestry products company had its 2011 year- end price estimate increased to 97 pesos per share from 92 pesos at Banchile-Citi, the co-research department of Banco de Chile and Citigroup Inc.
Ripley Corp. SA (RIPLEY CC) fell 0.1 percent to 659.12 pesos, its second straight day of losses. Chile’s third-largest department store operator by sales was rated “hold” in new coverage at Celfin Capital with a 2011 price estimate of 737 pesos.
Soc. de Inversiones Oro Blanco SA (OROB CC) fell 0.2 percent to 10.35 pesos. A block of 670 million shares in the holding company, whose main asset is an indirect stake in fertilizer producer Soc. Quimica y Minera de Chile SA, was sold today at 10.20 pesos per share.
