Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Ali Babacan said the government’s forecast of 6.8 percent growth this year may be too low, Hurriyet newspaper reported.
Industrial output figures for October released yesterday were higher than expected and show that "we’re heading toward a better figure than what we announced earlier for growth," the Istanbul-based newspaper reported, citing Babacan. The government may have to revise its forecasts upward, he said.
