Yum Brands Plans to Double African KFC Outlets by 2014, WSJ Says

Yum! Brands Inc. plans to double the number of its KFC outlets in Africa to 1,200 by the year 2014, as it aims to double revenue on the continent to $2 billion, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing Chairman and Chief Executive Officer David Novak.

Novak cited improved political stability and a growing African middle class as key reasons for targeting the area, the newspaper said.
