Russia May Sell 300,000 Tons of Stockpiled Grain, RBC Daily Says

Russia may sell 300,000 tons of stockpiled grain to keep it from being spoiled or stolen, RBC Daily reported, citing state-run trader United Grain Co.

United Grain and national farm lender OAO Rosselkhozbank asked the government to allow sales of grain stored in poor conditions or controlled by bankrupt enterprises, the Moscow- based newspaper said today.

Russia has about 9.6 million tons of grain in storage, RBC Daily said.
