Liberal Democrat Hughes Won’t Back Tuition Fees Plan, Sky Says

Simon Hughes, deputy leader of the U.K.’s Liberal Democrats, the junior partner in the coalition government, won’t back the government’s plan to raise college tuition fees in the parliamentary vote scheduled tomorrow, Sky News reported.

Hughes said he will “certainly abstain” and will decide whether to vote against the plan “overnight,” Sky reported.
