PIC’s Molefe to Take Over as Transnet CEO, The New Age Reports

Brian Molefe, the former chief executive officer of South Africa’s Public Investment Corp., will take over as the CEO of Transnet Ltd., The New Age reported, without saying where it got the information.

The Department of Public Enterprises will tomorrow announce Transnet’s new board, which will include Mafika Mkhwanazi, Don Mkhwanazi, Ellen Tshabalala and Mike Fannuchi, the Johannesburg- based newspaper said.

Ayanda Shezi, the spokeswoman for the public enterprises ministry, said it’s too early to speculate on the Transnet CEO post as the board is in the process of being appointed, the newspaper said. Molefe told the newspaper that he hasn’t been informed and doesn’t know anything about the appointment.
