Israel, U.S. Fail To Reach Settlement Freeze Deal, Haaretz Says

Israel and the U.S. have failed to reach agreement on a renewal of a freeze on West Bank settlement construction that could have led to the resumption of peace talks with the Palestinians, Haaretz reported, citing an unidentified senior Israeli official.

Israel and the U.S. will make an announcement on Tuesday that their efforts have failed and they will seek other ways of advancing the peace process, Haaretz said.
