Dynegy Inc., a Houston-based power producer, boosted output at a natural gas-fired generating plant unit in northern California.
The company’s 510-megawatt Moss Landing Power Block 1 was operating at full capacity of 3:15 p.m. local time today, the California Independent System Operator said in a report.
The unit had 102 megawatts curtailed at the same time yesterday in a planned shutdown.
The Moss generators are part of a 2,500-megawatt power facility south of San Francisco in Monterey County, California. One megawatt can power about 800 typical U.S. homes.
