Benelux Stocks: Agfa-Gevaert, Ackermans, Unilever, Wavin Move

The Netherlands’ AEX-Index gained 3.87, or 1.1 percent, to 346.21, rising for a fifth day. Belgium’s Bel20 Index rose 0.5 percent to 2,624.67.

The following were among the most active stocks in Benelux markets today. Symbols are in parentheses.

Dutch stocks:

Unilever (UNA NA) gained 3.7 percent to 23.23 euros, the biggest rise in a month. Morgan Stanley raised its recommendation on the world’s second-largest consumer-goods maker to “overweight” from “underweight.”

Wavin NV (WAVIN NA) rose 5.7 percent to 11.45 euros, gaining for a sixth day. Europe’s largest maker of plastic pipes for sewers advanced after Wolseley Plc, a Wavin client, reported trading during the three months to Oct. 31 was “slightly ahead of management expectations.”

Belgian stocks:

Ackermans & Van Haaren NV (ACKB BB) gained 0.6 percent to 60.64 euros, the biggest rise since Dec. 2. The investment company had its price estimate raised to 66 euros from 65 euros at KBC Securities.

Agfa-Gevaert NV (AGFB BB), the Belgian maker of imaging film products, dropped 3.8 percent to 3.32 euros, the most in more than a week, as silver for immediate delivery advanced to a 30-year high.
