Unipetrol AS’s Ceska Rafinerska unit is continuing to supply committed volumes of its products to customers after a small fire at its refinery in Litvinov on Dec. 3 damaged a hydrocracker unit, a company spokesman said.
Ceska Rafinerska, which supplies Unipetrol, Royal Dutch Shell Plc and ENI SpA, said the fire reduced capacity at the Litvinov site. Shell and ENI also hold stakes in Ceska Rafinerska.
“We are working on repairing the damage and there has not been any impact on supply,” Ales Soukup said in a phone interview today. The company adjusted its production at its refinery in Kralupy to meet demand, he said. If repairs continue apace, there should be no change in planned output from Ceska Rafinerska.
Soukup added that to keep up with the production schedule, by-products from Kralupy will be processed at Litvinov while the hydrocracker is being repaired.
Unipetrol is a unit of PKN Orlen SA.
