Treasuries Rise as Bernanke Says Central Bank May Increase Debt Purchases

Treasuries rose, snapping a three-day drop, after Federal Reserve Chairman Ben S. Bernanke it was possible the central bank will boost purchases of the securities.

The benchmark 10-year yield dropped three basis points to 2.98 percent as of 9:05 a.m. in Tokyo, according to BGCantor Market Data.
