Seychelles’s inflation rate rose to 0.7 percent in November after consumer prices fell an annual 0.2 percent the month earlier, the National Statistics Bureau said.
The rate was the first increase since November last year with fish prices rising an annual 9.4 percent, the Victoria- based agency said today in an e-mailed statement.
The inflation rate peaked at 63 percent in December 2008 after the Indian Ocean islands floated the rupee, and prices started declining in December last year.
