Northern Ireland Company Tax to Be Cut to 12.5%, Irish News Says

Northern Ireland’s corporation tax rate will be cut to 12.5 percent from 28 percent, part of a U.K. government initiative to make the region an “enterprise zone,” the Irish News reported, citing unidentified people.

The measure will be in force for at least 10 years and will bring the U.K. region’s company tax rate into line with that in the Republic of Ireland, the newspaper said.
