Liverpool Chasing Wickham
Liverpool may offer as much as 10 million pounds ($15.7 million) for 17-year-old Ipswich Town striker Connor Wickham, the Daily Mail reported.
Approaches by Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham for the teenager, who is a Liverpool fan, have all been rejected, according to the newspaper.
West Ham Exit for Parker?
West Ham midfielder Scott Parker may be sold to Tottenham for as much as 8 million pounds during the January transfer window, the Daily Express reported. West Ham rejected a 7 million-pound offer for Parker from Tottenham in the offseason.
Crystal Palace Star Wants Out
Crystal Palace may have to sell Nathaniel Clyne after the right-back turned down several opportunities to extend his contract, the Daily Mirror reported.
Birmingham, Fulham, Aston Villa and Everton have all been keeping an eye on Clyne, whose contract expires in June 2011, the paper said.
Shawcross’s United Return?
Stoke City’s Ryan Shawcross may return to Manchester United as manager Alex Ferguson tries to boost his defensive line-up, the Daily Mail reported.
Shawcross, 23, left United for Stoke in 2007. At the time, Ferguson inserted a clause in the deal that would allow United to match any rival bid, should Shawcross be sold.
