Eveready’s Schick, Energizer Brands May Boost Profit, Daily Says

Eveready East Africa Ltd. is counting on an expanded product range that includes Schick razors and shaving foam to help reverse declining sales, Business Daily reported, citing Managing Director Steve Smith.

Eveready’s new product lines, which also include Energizer batteries, currently account for about 30 percent of revenue and their sales are growing by about 20 percent, the Nairobi-based newspaper said.

Eveready said last week profit in the 12 months through September may decline because of increased global metal prices and rising financing costs following the depreciation of the Kenyan shilling.
