Draka, Gamma, Royal Reesink: Benelux Equity Market Preview

The following companies may have unusual price changes in Benelux markets. Stock symbols are in parentheses, and prices are from the previous close.

The Netherlands’ AEX-Index gained 0.74, or 0.2 percent, to 342.19. Belgium’s Bel20 Index fell 0.1 percent to 2,614.99.

Dutch stocks:

Gamma Holding NV (GAMMA NA): The world’s second-biggest maker of conveyor belts said Dutch private equity firm Gilde Buy Out Partners and Parcom Capital Management agreed to offer 29 euros ($38.67) per ordinary share. Both companies have a combined holding of 74.3 percent of Gamma shares. Gamma rose 5.8 percent to 28.35 euros.

Draka Holding NV (DRAK NA): Prysmian SpA considers raising its bid for the Dutch cable maker, Het Financieele Dagblad reported today, without saying where it got the information.

Prysmian “isn’t able or willing” to raise its offer of 17.20 euros to match Tianjin Xinmao S&T Investment Corp.’s bid of 20.50 euros per share, the Dutch newspaper said. Draka fell 0.3 percent to 19 euros.

Royal Reesink NV (ALRRE NA): The Dutch company is in talks with others to join forces in do-it-yourself activities and expects to give more information in the beginning of next year. Reesink rose 3.9 percent to 70 euros.
