Argentine Stocks: Molinos Rio de la Plata, Telecom Argentina

The following companies had unusual price changes in Argentine trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and share prices are as of 3:01 p.m. New York time.

The Merval Index rose 1 percent to 3,456.47.

Molinos Rio de la Plata SA (MOLI AF) rose 0.9 percent to 23.10 pesos, the largest increase since Dec. 1. The Argentine soybean oil producer will pay a dividend of 0.10 pesos per share, according to a statement posted today on the website of the Buenos Aires stock exchange.

Telecom Argentina SA (TECO2 AF) gained 3 percent to a record 20.40 pesos, the steepest increase in more than three weeks. Argentina’s second-largest telephone company was rated new “overweight” at Barclays Capital by equity analyst Michel Morin. The 12-month price estimate is $29 per American depositary receipt.
