Saudi Arabia, the Arab world’s largest economy, provided 3 billion riyals ($800 million) in export credit to countries this year and aims for the same amount in 2011, Ahmed al-Ghannam, director general of the Saudi Export Program, told reporters in Riyadh today.
The Riyadh-based export program promotes Saudi Arabia’s non-oil exports abroad, al-Ghannam said. The program is run by the Saudi Fund for Development.
