Russian Rocket Fails to Deliver Navigation Satellites, RIA Says

A Russian Proton-M rocket that aimed to deliver three Glonass navigation satellites into orbit failed the mission, RIA Novosti reported today, citing an unidentified person in the space industry.

The satellites, launched from Baikonur in Kazakhstan earlier today, are likely to have fallen in the Pacific Ocean near the Hawaii Islands, the Moscow-based news agency said.
